Man named in Sheffield murder investigation

His family has asked that their privacy be respected during this difficult time.

A 45-year-old man who died following a reported assault in the High Green area of Sheffield at the weekend has been named as Lee Phillips.

Lee was found with serious injuries on South Road, High Green, after emergency services were called to the area shortly after 1am on Saturday 30 January.

He was sadly pronounced dead while being taken to hospital. His family has asked that their privacy be respected during this difficult time.

Three people arrested on suspicion of murder – two men aged 31 and 25, and a 19-year-old woman – remain on police bail pending further enquiries.

The investigation is ongoing into the circumstances surrounding Lee’s death and anyone with information should call 101 quoting incident number 54 of 30 January 2021.
