A man has been charged after a man was stabbed in Maltby, Rotherham on Sunday (9 May).
At around 11am, emergency services were called to reports that a 30-year-old man was seriously injured in Churchill Avenue. He had suffered a knife wound to his neck and remains in hospital after having surgery.
Matthew Liversidge, of Town Lane, was arrested shortly afterwards on Sunday in connection with the incident.
In the early hours of this morning, detectives charged the 32-year-old with causing grievous bodily harm with intent and possession of a bladed article. He was remanded in to police custody and will appear before Sheffield Magistrates’ Court today (11 May).
