John Clayton
John has been involved with radio broadcasting / media throughout his whole career, albeit the early days also being an investment banker at Deutsche Bank as a Vice President .
Prior to that John was a professional footballer.
He has progressed through, from broadcasting on his local commercial radio station in Essex, being hired as part of the launch team for Heart - London, then involved with the inception of the souths biggest commercial radio station - Wave 105.
In latter years John has taken up more senior roles, as Programme Director - Group Programme Director and Managing Director at various large groups and stations including UKRD and Celador. He also spent 3 years in the middle east - Dubai where he was responsible for 5 radio stations and 2 TV, as station head and head talent coach.
He has returned to his first love - broadcasting and a significant focus on training, coaching and mentoring the next batch of broadcast professionals throughout the UK.
Additionally, after retiring early from his football career due to injury, he decided to qualify as an FA Coach - UEFA level, and to this day coaches football at a grassroots level, that has involved coaching a team of under 10 girls (including his daughter now at Leeds Utd and a lioness), and leading them to their first trophy and cup final win.
